At Boolanga, we’re passionate about food delivery gear - and we are experts in it. We deliver innovative software, product, and logistics solutions to international food delivery brands, while enhancing food delivery experiences worldwide.
Right now we are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager (LATAM) to join our expanding team.
This is your chance to lead Boolanga’s expansion into Latin America – building relationships with the region’s largest delivery platforms and turning a multi-million-dollar opportunity into real revenue. You’ll be our first full-time hire on the ground in LATAM, owning the commercial strategy across Mexico and Brazil, working directly with the founders and a tight team that already serves Uber Eats, Bolt, Talabat and other global platforms across 14+ EMEA markets. Are you ready to make a difference? 🌎
What you will do
- Own Boolanga’s LATAM commercial strategy and pipeline end-to-end across our priority target accounts – Uber Eats, Rappi, iFood, DiDi Food, 99Food, Meituan Keeta, and adjacent delivery and logistics platforms.
- Land and grow long-term partnerships as the supplier of record for branded courier equipment – delivery bags, garments, rain gear, and accessories – at the region’s leading platforms.
- Run enterprise sales cycles end-to-end – from first conversation through procurement, legal, sustainability review, and signed PO. LATAM cycles are typically 9–18 months; you’ll need patience, pipeline discipline, and the relationship capital to keep deals moving.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships across procurement, sustainability, last-mile operations, and country leadership at target accounts. Be the trusted in-market partner, not just a vendor.
- Be the in-market face of Boolanga – face-to-face meetings, sample programs, factory visits, dinners, and industry events. LATAM enterprise sales don’t close on Zoom alone, and you know how to navigate that.
- Partner closely with Boolanga HQ in Budapest (founders, ops, supply chain) and our regional advisor network to orchestrate winning bids, pricing, and delivery.
- Navigate local complexity – Mexican gig labor reform, Brazilian Nota Fiscal and tax structure, EU–Mexico FTA tariff advantages – alongside our finance and legal teams.
- Build the LATAM team over time – as the pipeline matures, identify when and where to add the next hire (e.g., a São Paulo presence to scale Brazil).
The way we work
Our office in Budapest embodies a genuine startup ambiance, complemented by team members working remotely across the globe. Our ambitious team is dedicated to hard work and impactful outcomes, while prioritizing the well-being of each member.
Skills & Requirements
- 5+ years of enterprise B2B sales / business development experience in LATAM, with a track record of closing 6- and 7-figure annual contracts.
- Active relationships at director or VP level inside at least one of: Uber, Rappi, iFood, DiDi Food, 99, Mercado Libre, Meituan Keeta, or comparable platforms.
- Proven work experience selling into food delivery, mobility, last-mile logistics, packaging, workwear, promotional products, sustainable materials, or adjacent enterprise categories.
- Hands-on experience navigating long, complex enterprise procurement cycles – RFPs, buying committees, sustainability reviews, and FCPA-compliant relationship building.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable owning a region as the only person on the ground.
- Native or fully fluent Spanish and business-level English; Portuguese is a strong advantage.
- Based in Mexico City (CDMX), with willingness to travel monthly across Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil, and occasionally to Budapest.
- Background inside procurement, sustainability, or last-mile operations at a delivery platform (ex-Uber, ex-Rappi, ex-iFood, ex-99, ex-Mercado Libre) is a strong plus.
