We’re currently seeking a Senior Fashion Buyer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in managing procurement for food delivery gear.
This role is central to Boolanga's mission of providing top-tier food delivery gear worldwide. As a Senior Fashion Buyer, you'll shape our global procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and oversee production processes while driving cost efficiency and operational excellence. This position combines 50% operational tasks with 50% strategic scope, making it vital to ensuring our gear meets the highest standards, empowering food delivery businesses and riders globally.
What you will do
- Strategic Procurement Development: Develop and implement effective sourcing and purchasing strategies. Collaborate with internal departments, including Product Development, Sales, Account Management, Logistics, and Fulfilment, to clarify procurement needs, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Market Research: Investigate potential suppliers, market trends, and alternative products or services to make informed decisions.
- Supplier Selection: Evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery capabilities. This often involves a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.
- Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers to reach favourable agreements, including prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other contractual conditions.
- Contract Management: Formalize agreements through contracts, ensuring both parties adhere to the terms. Set clear performance metrics and expectations.
- Supplier Management Excellence: Identify and engage with global suppliers that meet our criteria for pricing, quality, timeliness, and reliability. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, set clear terms and deadlines, maintain ongoing communication, manage performance, resolve disputes, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate Procurement and Production Processes: Manage daily purchasing activities and ensure performance standards are met throughout production. Enhance procurement and production processes and policies for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability. Regularly review and refine sourcing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Refine forecasting methods, manage the procurement budget, and implement cost-reduction strategies, including exploring new suppliers, renegotiating contracts, or adopting new sourcing technologies and practices.

Skills & Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement or Buyer positions
- Business level English knowledge is a must, since we have an international team and international partners
- Knowledge and experience in overseas procurement procedures and regulations
- Experience in the procurement of sportswear, outerwear, apparel or textile consumer goods is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in Google sheets or MS Excel
- Strategic mindset, proactive and result-oriented attitude
